Licensed, not sold

Telepad is licensed to you, not sold. Unless a custom license agreement is provided for the app in the Mac App Store, your use of Telepad is governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”), which is part of the App Store terms. Apple’s agreement describes the scope of the license, termination, and the warranty, liability and governing-law terms that apply. Please read it; it is the agreement you accept when you get the app.

Subscriptions and purchases

Telepad may offer an auto-renewable subscription and a one-time lifetime unlock as in-app purchases. In plain terms:

  • The price and length of each option are shown in the app before you buy.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
  • A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before then.
  • The lifetime unlock is a one-time purchase and does not renew.
  • You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your App Store account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund the current period.

On a Mac, open the App Store, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, choose Subscriptions, select Telepad, and choose Cancel Subscription. Apple explains this at Cancel a subscription from Apple.

Refunds

Purchases are made through Apple, and Apple handles billing and refunds. We cannot issue refunds directly. To ask for one, follow Apple’s guide: Request a refund for apps or content that you bought from Apple.

Acceptable use

Use Telepad lawfully and for its intended purpose. Do not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, redistribute, or sublicense the app, except to the extent the law or Apple’s Standard EULA allows. Do not use Telepad in a way that infringes anyone’s rights. You are responsible for the scripts you write and for how you use Telepad, including checking that the screen-sharing behaviour works in your setup before relying on it.

No warranty and limited liability

Telepad is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, Telepad is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from using or being unable to use the app. Nothing here limits rights you have by law that cannot be limited. The Standard EULA contains Apple’s own warranty and liability terms.

Privacy

How Telepad handles data is explained in the privacy policy. In short: nothing leaves your Mac.
